About me

Dr. Paresh Kumar Sarma has done his BSc in Agricultural Economics, MS in Agricultural Economics (Marketing), PGD-in-ICT, Ph.D. in Agribusiness and Marketing, and PostDoc in Development Economics from Bangladesh Agricultural University. Dr. Sarma started his service as Research Officer of Participatory Livestock Development Project; an agribusiness study, BSERT, BAU during 2001. Later, he joined as Unit Organizer (General) at the Center for Mass Education in Science (CMES), Dhaka, Bangladesh from April 2002 to March 2006. Then he joined as a Sales Manager in Naboti Cooperation Ltd from April 2006 to September 2006. Afterwards, he joined as Assistant Project Coordinator of Development and Rehabilitation of Extreme Poor through Alternative Means funded by CORDAID the Netherlands and also role-play as a part-time Project Manager of Floating School project funded by Learning for Life-UK implementation by People Oriented Program Implementation (POPI) in Dhaka Bangladesh from October, 2006 to May, 2010. He has joined several workshops, and seminars with different development agencies home and abroad for participatory learning and sharing knowledge and presentation different reports.  Then he worked as a Scientific Officer of Bangladesh Agricultural University Research System (BAURES), BAU, Mymensingh, Bangladesh from June 2010 and now, I hold a Senior Scientific Officer (Special grade). He is a life member of the Bangladesh Economic Association (BEA), and a member of Bangladesh Agricultural Economic Association and Krishibid Institution of Bangladesh. I married to Padmaboti Ghosh and blessed with one daughter named Peok Sharma. This is all about himself.
